A win over Aston Villa this Thursday night will see Leeds United move up to 3rd in the Championship table.
Kyle Bartley is expected to be fit for the trip to Villa Park following a clash of heads with team mate Luke Ayling last Monday. The pair collided during United’s emphatic 4-1 victory over Preston North End.
Midfielder Eunan O’Kane is still out with a groin problem and will not take part in Thursday’s trip to Birmingham. Same can be said for Charlie Taylor who will miss the game with an Achilles injury.
A win over Aston Villa will send Leeds into 3rd for at least the next 24 hours. In their previous meeting, Garry Monk’s side earned an impressive 2-0 victory at Elland Road; a victory which handed Steve Bruce his first defeat as the new manager of the Villains.
Leeds are coming into this game following three straight league victories. Villa, on the other hand, have got two successive wins under their belt and will be looking to go 8th in the Championship by picking up all three points this Thursday.
Gary Gardener remains the only injury concern for Steve Bruce’s side after the midfielder was taken off during Monday’s game with Burton.
