Guiseley Looking For FA Trophy Run

by Jamie Woodhouse

Chorley and Guiseley take a break from league action today as they clash in the FA Trophy first round.

Chorley booked their place in the first round with a 1-0 victory over Stafford Rangers, whereas Guiseley enter the competition at this stage.

The home side head into this match in good form, sitting 3rd in the National League North with only two league defeats so far this season. The Lions however, playing in the National League, one step above Chorley are struggling in 22nd and are yet to win on the road in the league this season.

Fans will remember the epic clash between the two sides in the 2015 National League North play-off final where Guiseley overturned a 2-0 deficit to win 3-2 at Chorley, and gain promotion to the National League for the first time in the clubs history.

KO: Victory Park, 3pm.
