Kyle Wood has signed a two-year-deal with the Wakefield Trinity Wildcats following his Huddersfield Giants exit.
The 27-year-old will join Chris Chester’s side after signing for the West Yorkshire club until 2018.
The hooker comes into the team following a three year spell at the Huddersfield Giants. During that time, Wood made 74 appearances for the club and scored 11 tries in the process.
Wakefield enjoyed a great season in 2016 which included reaching the semi-final of the Challenge Cup and qualifying for the Super 8s.
With Super League experience under his belt, fans will be hoping that Wood can help the team achieve even more in 2017.
Wakefield’s first game of the season is against the current Challenge Cup winners, Hull FC, on the 12th of February.
