Bradford welcome Bury to Valley Parade tonight for their second group stage fixture in the EFL Trophy.
Formerly known as the Johnstone Paint Trophy, the tournament’s format was changed for this season. 16 regional groups of four teams play each other once, with the top two progressing to the knockout stages. 16 academy teams now also participate in the trophy from this season.
The Bantams recorded their first win of the competition defeating Stoke u21’s 1-0 at Valley Parade.
Bury also won their first group game of the competition, defeating Morecambe 4-1 and currently lead the group.
Rory McArdle and Matthew Kilgallon will both be looking to make the starting 11 after making the bench for Bradford’s 1-0 victory over Chesterfield at the weekend.
