Leeds United take a break from the Sky Bet Championship tomorrow as they welcome Blackburn Rovers to Elland Road for their EFL Cup third round clash.
This will be Rovers second trip to Elland Road in eight days as the two teams met in the league last Tuesday, as Leeds ran out 2-1 winners with a late goal from centre back Kyle Bartley securing the three points.
The EFL Cup has been a welcome reprieve so far for Blackburn this season from their poor start to the Championship campaign. With only one win from their opening eight games, the Lancashire club find themselves second from bottom in 23rd place.
Monk is expected to stick with a similar team to the one which defeated Cardiff City 2-0 at the weekend.
The defensive partnership of Pontus Jansson and Kyle Bartley was heavily praised on Saturday. The two were solid in the centre of defence and at times on Saturday looked unbreakable.
KO: Elland Road, 7:45pm.
